Update!!

Hello world!

Yes, I know.. Its been a long time since I last updated this blog, again. He-he! I've been busy with school, work and training. I'm currently in Oslo on a training seminar for Bodypump, which is over today. I passed and I'm one step closer to becoming an instructor in this fantastic work-out program. I've had loads of fun doing this and everyone I met this weekend was really nice and in top shape! Big thanks to the instructor who coached us through these past 3 days.

So, anyone out there who likes Bodypump? Or who knows what it is?

Best regards to you all!

All new good old Van Halen!

Hello readers!
I'm pleasantly surprised these days. I've been watching the blog from day to day and I see that there's more hits every day, including that all of you who visits and read my posts are from countries all over the world!:-D This makes me happy, a week ago we had the largest number of hits in one day, 43!!

But to the subject of this post!
For those of you who are fans of Van Halen, this is old news. But they deserve some recognition in this blog anyway since I'm a huge fan and they're a great band.
For the first time in 14 years the band's getting back together for the writing and recording of a brand spanking new album!

The album was released a few days ago, the name of the record is A Different Kind of Truth. I've only listened to one of the songs on the album, since I want the mood to be special when I listen through the entire thing cover to cover. Its not the entire original line-up, but lead singer David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen and his brother Alex is on the train, as well as Eddies son Wolfgang who is stepping in for Mike Anthony on bass.

They've announced a new tour with released tour-dates. Sadly the only dates released are only shows in the US. I hope and pray for a entire world tour with a long stop for a good show here in Norway. This is the downside with living in a small country way up north when many of the good bands are based in the US...
Either way I'm happy for the new album and I cant wait to sit down with a bottle of Jameson and listen to it.
I'm gladly accepting comments to this post and corrections if some of my facts are wrong. I would also very much like updates!

Here are a few good old classics and one new from Van Halen! Thank you for reading:-)

KISS vs. Hello Kitty

Hello readers!

Its been a long time since I last posted something here. To be honest I haven't had much time or any ideas on what to write about. Luckily for me and you out there I found a story.
I'm a huge KISS fan, it was the first true rock and roll band I started listening to in an early age of 10. I instantly fell in love with the music and shortly after all the other great rock bands followed me into my CD-shelf. I have almost every CD available to man in my collection. In my youth I used to go to record stores, pick out KISS-albums that I didn't have and listened to them there for a while, before buying and bringing them home where I read the booklets cover to cover while listening.

Its no secret that Gene and Paul are sell-outs and do almost anything for a little more "green" in their wallets. And now the latest story, they signed a contract with Hello Kitty to make some new toys in kiss make-up. Hello Kitty toys.... In KISS make-up. I have officially upgraded them to "They will do anything for money".

VERSUS:

I for one, will try to block this out of my rock and roll world and try to remember the good old crazy rock bands as the way they were and the way most of them still are! Heavy, scary to old women, fire, black leather and crazy out of their minds. Or at least KISS. Most of the good old heavy rockers are still playing their role as they should. Thank God, or whatever higher being that allowed this fine work of art to blast through my speakers!
Until next time!
